About product

“BLACK CROW WHITE PIGEON”. EXTRAORDINARY COFFEE STORIES.

Chapter 18

The White Pigeon presents:

The sugary aroma of toffee and strawberry candies tickles the nose gently, while gorgeous notes of white grapes unfold in the background…

High in the mountains of Myanmar, in the region of Mandalay, the beautiful town of Pyin Oo Lwin shimmers like a veritable diamond. This is where the epicentre of Myanmar’s coffee industry is located, with hundreds of well-known coffee estates and businesses roasting their beans here before distributing them all over the country. Gliding softly 1100 metres above sea level, the eye focuses on U Ye Myint, a coffee farmer toiling away in the estate of Shwe Yi Mon. Having earned a master’s degree in botany, U Ye Myint now uses his 80-acre estate for bold experiments: he is constantly putting various plant distribution methods, shade tree species, different fertilisers and irrigation systems to the test. This drive towards innovation and careful attention to the smallest of details can be seen plainly in every cultivation stage, and can certainly be tasted in each single bean as well.
