What should I do if I've forgotten to replace the old water filter and it's been sitting inside my coffee machine for six months now?

First of all, make sure to remove the old water filter and throw it away. Afterwards, run the descaling program on your appliance (see the user manual of your coffee machine), then insert a new filter and activate it.

What's the difference between this water filter and the filters manufactured by DeLonghi?

All of these filters are designed to do the same thing.

What makes this water filter special is a unique rubber button for releasing air: thanks to it, the filter is easier to install. There’s no need for you to put the filter under water and wait for any residual air to get released before you start using it.

IMPORTANT: before you place the filter inside the water tank, first unplug the rubber button. Next, insert the filter in the water tank, fill the tank with water all the way up to the MAX mark, and only close the button afterwards.

Is this water filter suited for all models by DeLonghi?

Just like the DLSC002 water filter by DeLonghi, this product is suited for the following coffee machine models:

How often should I replace the water filter with a new one?

You should replace the water filter as soon as your coffee machine prompts you to do so, but no less frequently than once every 2 months.

IMPORTANT: if you haven’t used your coffee machine at all for three weeks or more, you should replace the water filter even if unprompted.
