Is this water filter suited for NIVONA coffee machines from Series 7?

This water filter is suited for all Nivona, Melitta and Krups coffee machines with the water filter functionality.

How often should I replace the water filter with a new one?

You should replace the water filter as soon as your coffee machine prompts you to do so, but no less frequently than once every 2 months.

IMPORTANT: if you haven’t used your coffee machine at all for two weeks or more, you should replace the water filter even if unprompted.

What should I do if I've forgotten to replace the old water filter and it's been sitting inside my coffee machine for six months now?

First of all, make sure to remove the old water filter and throw it away. Afterwards, run the descaling program on your appliance (see the user manual of your coffee machine), then insert a new filter and activate it.

What's the difference between this water filter and the filters manufactured by Krups, Melitta or Nivona?

All of these water filters are designed to do the same thing and are suited for the coffee machines indicated on the packaging. The only thing that differs is the manufacturer.
